DUB-LIN like dubstep (the only way I can think to explain it), not DEW-BLIN. Gosh that drives me crazy. Don’t get me started on Coventry 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't know i mean i think i would be most hurt by my father walking out on my as a kid i mean at least if he was murdered you would have an explanation about what happened but finding out that your own father abandoned you is the ultimate betrayal and it would be as good as having a knife driven through your heart

If that ain't the craziest case of not wanting to pay child support lol

I'm familar with Noel Clarence Hardy's case he had been living alive and well in the UK for all those years i wonder what made him up and leave and not contact any of his family back in Ireland maybe he had his reasons but they clearly tried to get in contact with him but he had chosen to cut off all ties with them apparently for what reasons he most likely took to the grave with him

In Noel's case the UK National Insurance number is the key to this. Much like the American SSN, there's a great deal you just can't do unless you have one - including UK state benefits, taking on most legitimate jobs with legitimate pay arrangements, or claiming public healthcare. I don't believe you need an NI number for exclusively private healthcare. Contributing to things like National Insurance will get you a state pension later in life amongst other things, and the DWP would have records of all of this and any other benefits he applied for.

Changing your name in the UK is _mostly_ perfectly legal (there are edge cases), but as you say, why wait until 1991 to do so?

He will have had his reasons for not wanting to contact his family. Those reasons are likely not public and we should respect his wishes.

Not sure why the lady in the first story wants to find out more about her grandfather. Sounds like good riddance to bad rubbish.

The first story reminds me of my father-in-law's father - he disappeared without a trace in the 1960s, leaving behind his wife and 11 kids. Everyone assumed he ran out, but literally no one in the family ever heard from him again. I asked my husband "why does everyone think he ran off? Does no one think he might have been murdered?" Seems like a possibility to me. My husband and his dad aren't close, so it's not something that we can dig too deeply into, so I guess it will remain a mystery.

There was NOTHING "Strange" about cases 5, 4, & 3. My heart aches from having wasted so much of my precious time. However, #1 was so fascinating that I should study the case and write a movie script about it.

March of 2024, 1961??? I’m so baffled by the amount of research and time is claimed by these YouTubers. There seems to be either an incorrect date, duplicate scenes and even misinformation in a majority of these videos. I’d love to know, if there’s so much time and effort, why do so many mistakes appear? I know this sounds trivial but the amount of earnings received is not and deserves a better product!

The "mystery #5" is actually two independently solved mysteries.

Poor Brenda I’m glad her husband was arrested and charged.

Poor Brenda. A brilliant scientist but a very bad judge of character. While it’s good they finally realized and proved her former husband murdered her, it is so frustrating that he essentially got away with it. He had 40 years of whatever passed as a “normal” life for himself. He was 82 when sent to prison. Old age is a tough time, financially and physically, and he will now be taken care of, probably much better than he would have been on his own at that late stage of his life, with the help of taxpayers money. Very unsatisfactory resolution, imo.
