A 7-foot dog seems astounding to me. Couldn't scientists extract DNA from those bones and create a profile? Maybe figure out what kind of dog it was etc. and how it would have looked. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to know. I mentioned this to my husband and he suggested maybe it was something called a Dire Wolf, that was supposedly a real thing back then.

The dog most likely was one suffering from rabies. They just didn't know at the time. They seemed posessed.
