Okay last video with just this enemy. Theyre just a perfect example of how much better the combat is. Ive experimented more with this enemies juggle properties and pressure state than i have with any enemy in 7 remake or its dlc. This little juggle with the punisher disorder hit and magic is just 1 of like 50 ways to do this fight its unreal how many options there are for small and different kinds of juggle states/combos. And this is just base cloud.

bro the combat is so satisfying in rebirth its like a huge step up but I think its mostly cloud that got upgraded, not sure about Tifa but she seems untouched from remake I think.

Best combat I’ve experienced for an action jrpg. Feels great; the system is deep enough that there are an enormous amount of variance that accommodates certain playstyles (and broken setups), yet not too deep to where it’s overwhelming. Each action feels like it actually does something when used appropriately and synergy moves really helped improve it over remake. Juggling like this here is also potentially broken. Never really got tired of fighting 180+ hours in.

Rebirth combat looks better than remake and final fantasy origins combat.

Jump attacks are really a big improvement. Synergys moves and materia makes for more creative combos.

The combat is real good but 1 thing i didn't like is the punisher mode. Remake's looks and feel alot better but i guess it doesn't matter after you get Prime Mode.
