Well obviously. Cloud is great, but He's not a solo protagonist. If you give cloud all summoning materia, yellow and purple materia you get Clive. It's not Clouds fault he has a party to balance him out

This is accurate and let me explain why. First off Clive is quite literally a god himself, being the embodiment of free will and choice. Clive was depicted in the world as an anomaly, power that matched Ultima himself; which is an alien of insurmountable strength. in comparison of Ultima and Sephiroth, let me put it this way; Sephiroth is a product of an alien while Ultima IS the alien. Cloud by himself simply would not stand a chance against Ultima or Clive. Ultima is the creator of not only magic but life; this alone should speak on Clive's strength and while Cloud is strong, he's not Clive strong.

I would say the top 3 strongest characters of FF would be

Lightning
Clive
Noctis

Being a FF7 fan since 97 and played both games.. im giving it to Clive... Cloud wouldn't even stand a chance. They'd have to make a FFXVI movie/anime to really show the difference in strength. I'll just say. Clive can bring the dead back to life...
