There is a problem with Adam's statement at around 49:00 by saying the project studio could benefit with providing Atmos mixes to "drop it into film" for theatrical releases. First, only the L-R channels are allocated for music in Atmos theatrical releases according to Trevor Horn, so you'd be better off letting them drop in your stereo mix. Having said that, even if music could be allocated to the surrounds and heights, the panning decisions done with music would most likely conflict with the panning decisions of the movie production, which is probably why stereo L-R is the protocol for music in Atmos film releases.

I struggle to get music to sound good in stereo. I don’t have enough time left in my life to learn how to mix in this format!

I built an Atmos studio for $5000aud that's about $3000usd. KRK speakers, adat expander, sonar works multichannel. It's pretty easy. If the gear is good enough to mix stereo it's good enough to mix Atmos.

Looks like you're deleted some comments. It shows 16 comments were left, but only 4 is showing. This is not the first time I have noticed this in YouTube video lately.
Anyway, you always have good content in your video.
Thanks again 😊

Hmmm... not sure that asking gear manufacturers if a new heavily pushed (and proprietary!!) audio format requiring studios to purchase a LOT of new gear to be properly heard & implemented is or isn't affordable or too expensive is such a good idea.
Not sure at all.
Maybe needs a couple of other people in this conversation, from very different angles, to be even vaguely realistic and relevant, IMHO. Else, it looks just promotion and gear shilling, and more Atmos pushing.
Just sayin'...
