5.1, 7.1, dolby Atmos sound system we have all heard these terms somewhere around but do you really want to know what all these means
In traditional surround sound systems like 5.1 or 7.1, audio is divided into channels. For example, a 5.1 system has five main speakers -front left, front right, center, rear left, and rear right-plus a subwoofer (1) for bass. Sounds are assigned to these specific channels, so you hear a car from the left speaker or dialogue from the center.
Dolby Atmos goes beyond this by not being confined to channels. Instead, it treats sounds as objects that can move independently in a 3D space. While it still works with your existing speakers, Atmos adds height channels, allowing sounds to come from above. This combination of channels and object-based audio creates a much more immersive experience.
