In this video I'm pouring a concrete floor for a big brewery. The floor didn't have any area that was flat. It all sloped to either one of three trench drains or a regular floor drain.
The slope to the trench drains was 1/2" per foot in a lot of the areas and 1/4" per foot in the others. We poured 40 yards of 4000 psi concrete with no air entrainment. The finish on the concrete was a smooth trowel finish for this one. Eventually the floor will get a urethane cement coating over the entire floor to protect it and make it easier to clean & maintain.
Pouring and finishing concrete floors is one part of many types of concrete finishes we do.

Just reading the comments there. All good - bit of a nightmare job with all the slopes. Working on jobs like these is something to aspire to👍

Nice pour guys. That’s exactly what those Z-booms are great at. Keeps you from having to run a lot more system pipe that could potentially dick up the grades on the drains when the pump surges.
Those pans underneath the knuckles on the hoses was something different I’d never seen. I guess it helps prevent the wire from getting bent up and the plastic from getting torn. Probably helps to elevate the hose a little too.

Mike - enjoying the videos as usual. Wondering if you can give me a heads up on how to wet cut an imprinted concrete slab. The order in which things need to happen etc. Really appreciate a bit of guidance on this.

What is the point of the wire? Left hard down on the plastic?

Great video. Nice work around the drains. I've been spending the last week in an older Greenhouse grinding floors to get water to the drains....The problem is that there are dips @ the drain so the water just sits. I've had to cut groove in the joints to get the water in the drain. Nice to see the hand work around the drains won't have any problems having the beer sludge run off! Have a great weekend!...Did you guys get paid in Suds?

Do you have to adjust the slump for the length of the pumper hose?

I didn’t see if you had to mix “slurry” we called it to prime the pumper. Was always my favorite job, because I knew it meant no wheelbarrow! 😀 👍

I made a small 48 inch and a 90 inch aluminum screed out of load locks for a tractor trailer. Took the guts out of them and plugged the ends with wood.

The medusaw with vacuum would have been my choice for cutting this. Cuts nice and straight, no dust, very light and not terribly pricey
