As someone who owns a Quest 3 and has used the Vision Pro, I can confidently say the Vision Pro is nowhere NEAR worth the $3000 price bump over the Quest 3

Vision Pro only has 2 benefits over Quest 3,

1. Eye and Hand tracking
2. High Resolution Display.

And now lets see what Quest 3 has better over Vision Pro,

1. Lighter weight
2. Better Field of View
3. More Apps available
4. Better gaming experience
5. Shared Virtual Space with other users
6. Better connectivity with other gadgets like PC, PS, XBOX, etc
7. $3000 cheaper
8. When used for work, can actually increase the number of monitors on a PC as opposed to Vision Pro that can only have 1 Monitor.
9. Using Android phones, you can mirror your phone inside the headset so no need to worry about using phone separately like Vision Pro and iPhone.
10. Whatever Apple does (like Spatial Videos and Photos) is automatically supported on Quest 3 as well, lol 😂
11. No useless gimmicky front display that sucks the battery which is also a huge problem on Vision Pro, as it is very small in capacity but large in size and way heavier in weight.
12. No need to buy into any ecosystem and waste tons of more money

My take on it is that the Vision Pro is more powerful and better with ar, but without controllers you’d be hard pressed to play certain games. Additionally, the quest 3 is just more cost efficient if you’re a gamer or a regular consumer.

It’s genuinely not worth the money.

Better in spec sheet is not always better in every way. Which is better, a dishwasher that I would put a rtx 4090 in, or a pc where I put a rtx 3060 in it. It obv the dishwasher, because it has better specs.

The quest 3 is meant to be a gaming first device/accessory. Vision Pro is a first gen product that’s supposed to lead the way to replacing your cellphone/ tablet / laptop. It’s expensive because it’s for developers who want their apps to work well on the second gen and beyond Vision Pros / vision se. The Vision Pro in my opinion is not for the general consumer.(yet)

I have a quest 3 and I got to try the Vision Pro (one of the lucky few to be able to say that) and I can safely say the 499$ purchase brought me 10x more joy and joy entertainment than the Vision Pro.

Specs isn't all. Carter what about the Library. The library is non existent on the vision pro.

Bro, I got the Quest 3 when it released, and I can say that I’m very happy that I didn’t spend my life savings on a computer that’s basically a PSVR 2.
