I said when we sacked Tuchel that it was a terrible decision and the problem was player attitude and not the manager, and I got a load of abusive comments on YouTube, most likely from the same fans who chanted Tuchel's name yesterday. Here are some facts! Tuchel came in and won us a clean sweep of European trophies! He did so with a record number of clean sheets. A year later and the club is sanctioned. Abramovic forced to sell, big name players and dressing room leaders lost because we could not renew contracts, players that were pivotal in the Champions League win like Mount stuck on £80k a week after the sanctions see's new owners come in and splash the cash on new signings Koulibaly and Sterling on £300k a week. Young players being signed on 7+ year deals for £200k a week, and we wonder why Mount starts to look demotivated??? Now £80k a week is nothing to turn your nose up at, but if new players are coming in for £300k a week then why should Mount be on £80k a week? And theres the root of the problem! New owners looking like amateurs in the transfer market, failing to sign first choice players, overpaying for second choice players, throwing massive contract offers to get signings and not rewarding Champions League winning players on old contracts. THAT is why we are seeing the old guard looking demotivated and disinterested. As a fan I expect players to play for the badge. But from an employee point of view, you would down tools too if you didn't feel valued financially by your club!

Chelsea is in free fall. Potter doesn’t look like being able to stabilise the ship.if we’re talking about trophies, he has a lot of time, but when your free falling… there’s not much time to open the parachute.

After gov/chelsea debacle, removing RA, Tuchel’s family problems, Tuchel dismantling his squad and burning out, then Todd sacking him and leaving with half of the squad and injuries, Potter needs time however there is a limit and this season is acceptable 🫣 in 10th but if we are in a relegation fight then that would be too much and we’d need to change things.

Let's be honest, if Potter wasn't English these pundits including Simon would be calling for him to be sacked. Same as some Chelsea fans treat Mount because he's home grown, truth is he is just an Instagram footballer, more concerned with his hair than his performance on the pitch.

Potter is the middle of the chain. The owner is new to football. He can’t dominate a big manager so he brought a guy in that isn’t top of the tree but he can kick around a little. That being said how can GP walk into a dressing room where most of these guys have collectively won everything and say to them “come on boys I’ll show you how to do it?” And I quite like potter coming from nowhere to manage a huge club like Chelsea but this is going to end in tears.

Potter was 3 full years on the south coast and that's why he was able not only to build the squad he was able to leave some legacy, look at Brighton they didn't slow down for a bit, new manager comes in but almost everything is the same. Give Potter time and he will deliver.
