"I'm weak in programming, so I decided to go with ue and c++" . Smart!

David wehley's "Never have a zero percent day" is a powerful strategy to be motivated everyday. At least it keeps me motivated !

I have an idea to the game : slow mo cant realy be in every single punch so :
Slow mo for the first punch.
Slow mo for the player who did dodge and punch.
Slow mo for the final punch (finisher)

You and some other game developers really inspire me to learn game development. I am only 14 years old and I think that programming is a really cool skill to learn.

It's been really cool to see your progress over these few months! It's also pretty crazy how you've been able to make a devlog about every other week - these kinds of videos are no easy feat!

Im currently learnnig C++ at the age of 35. I havent programmed or fucked around with code since writing Visual Basic progs and mIRC scripts when i was 12-15. Needless to say, ive easily cut 5 years off of my life from the constant frustration of error messages and trying to wrap my head around the more advanced, aunerysm inducing, concepts of the language...

This video has given me hope and a the boost of confidence i needed to push through learning something so complex at this age. I originally began learning C++ for machine language with the hopes of eventually getting into game development. Now i can see a clear path that im actually excited to take. Thanks man. Great video.

I've been watching since the beginning, nice to see how well it's going!
Also protip: If you have a 'Print String' executing every Tick, expand the node and set the Duration to 0. This will make debugging much cleaner, as it will only take up one line and still update per frame.

Amazing development path! Watching your progress with Unreal really makes me want to use it after I complete all my 2D ideas.

Your health bar can be in the top corners. With a white border around the green bar. And it changes colour depending on the health.⚠

just downloaded Unreal Engine myself tonight and scavenging YouTube for resources, as one does. Seeing this gives me inspiration and hope that I too can one day create a video game that others would enjoy playing. So thank you for this. Subbed and added Punch A Bunch to my steam wishlist. Can't wait to play it man :)

Really inspiring. Your project looks really cool also. It could be a hit if you execute this well. Add multiplayer, have people randomly face people across the world and put a ranking system in place. You can later introduce some custom outfits for microtransactions

This devlog motivated me to start developing after decades of small unfinished projects, I'm further than I've ever been and feel driven to finish! Thanks pontypants, you really helped me to push forward.

I've actually been on the same journey, man, started 5 months ago. What's funny is I actually knew a little Unity too, and I saw your video about the difference between the two. I decided to go for Unreal too because I was following Swords and Magic and Stuff and I found that blueprinting course as well. Your game has a fun look and feel to it! I'm gonna try to post some videos of my progress too, my horror game is about 70% done. Pretty crazy to say that since in January I knew absolutely nothing about Unreal.
