I think the exciting part is when your dividends get to the point where they start buying more shares

I'm currently at $90 annual income in my brokerage, but I am going to surpass $100 next week! I know it seems like nothing but just 3 months ago I was at $22 annually

I'm 1 week away from hitting $200 a year in dividends.

$6, 139.62 annually. I am 30 years away from financial freedom.

This. It was the same for me. Getting hyped for a few cents in dividends, then hitting $100/month and then $200/month and now I'm closing in on $300/month. My first huge goal is $1000/month - this could aid soo much if my business starts to suffer. Sure, I won't survive on it, but imagine the absolute zen mode of having that amount of income on top for your salary.

$53, 300+/- annually. But that includes 401Ks & IRAs.

Trust me! It comes on faster then you think. I used to get about $50/month in dividends when I started but a handful of years later, I’m up to almost 8 grand a year in dividend income! I have DRIP off in my account so i started to realize how much it increased when my cash in the account stays at a decent level despite me buying stocks regularly. Keep with it!

46k a year. Half of my money is in growth stocks and the other half in dividends.

It may be slow but id rather invest and have slow progress than no progress at all. Wishing everyone the best in their journey 👍

I'm in my third year of investing, and am not able to put a ton of money in each month... but my first year I was able to make about $300 in dividends for the year. Last year I got about $800 for the year, and I'm in line to almost double that and get about $1500 for this year. I'm at the point where I get about $100 - $120 a month, and it makes me super excited to see that's enough to cover one of my bills each month like my phone or car insurance!

My first dividend payment was $0.91, fast forward a few years and my largest dividend payment was over $350.

Even if you don’t have a lot of money to get started, a little bit here and there really does add up.

I started investing last year around late September / early October of 2022. It's minimal at the moment, as you mentioned. I divide the highest stock price in a 52 week history, by the dividend history of a King or Aristocrat dividend per quarter. So I can earn one (1) share per quarter. Then I multiply the divided figure by three (3). So I can earn earn twelve (12) shares per year by DRIP, instead of earning four (4) shares per year. I am no mathematician, during school I sucked at math, but I learned how to figure that out - lol.

I’m at around 177 a year so far, I’m starting to build a second portfolio with robinhood for fractional shares since JPM only lets you buy full shares so that portfolio is gonna sit and DRIP it’s dividends for awhile while I build my new portfolio so hopefully I’ll be able to start really dollar cost averaging my dividends with robinhood. Only downside I don’t think robinhood shows your annual income with the shares you have

35$/month brokerage and about 50$/month in the roth for me!

You say in the video you're suprised by how quick you got to 200$ month. But how long has it really taken to save and invest your whole portfolio? I'm at 2 years myself so I'm not going fast at all lol. Slow and steady

Keep going people! I've been investing since 2014, and with a pension payout and a few large lump sums in another account, the dividends really started to roll in. It's amazing after you make your first monthly $1000. As of this August 2023, I have finally passed the $6000/month and am a big step closer to early retirement. Of course, this is in Canadian $$ so we're probably talking about $4000/month in US$$!

I'm now earning 8k annual in dividends. Investing for a long time but didn't learn early enough about dividend stocks. I bought for health of the stock and still do but greater focus now on dividend stocks.

Commonly seen, we overestimate short-term impact and underestimating long-term impact. Keep it up.
