I heard that companies always state yearly dividend even if they pay out quarterly is this accurate? So you'd need to divide the yield by 4 to work out yield per payout if that makes sense..

I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking of putting the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? it sounds like your taking 10k and hitting the reset button, then you start at $500 again and have to wait for it to build back up and keep going. it might take awhile but i guess it could work.

if the dividend is paid by quarter, and is 3% that means annually will ve 4quarters x 3% = a 12% Yearly dividend?, tks.

So if a company states the dividend yield is 2% and paid quarterly, does that mean I will receive 2% four times in a year, or will the 2% be added each month of the year, but I will only recieve my total money quarterly--so 8% four times???
