When is it too COLD? Spearfishing Remote Arctic Norway 🇳🇴 in Winter.

The idea for this trip was to find the migratory Skrei cod that come to the north of Norway in the late winter/early spring and try and spear them. These cod get enormous, exceeding 50kg! The only problem is the water & air temperatures. Some days the air was -5ºC plus wind chill. The water was as warm as 4ºC and other times frozen on the surface. Not only were we looking for cod but also the legendary Atlantic halibut that frequent these waters.

It was after day one we realised we may have bitten off more than we could chew...

I may not be able to dive deep or dive for very long but the feeling of being under the surface and looking back up is a unreal experience that I will never get over and I thank you for getting me interested in it.
