One of the great things about traveling across the country is discovering new foods. However, when the trip is over and we return home, we start to long for that fast food we had on vacation. Unlike fast-food chains such as McDonald's, Burger King and KFC, these restaurants are local or regionally specific. With that in mind here are 10 Regional Only Fast Food Restaurants We Wish Were Everywhere.

- Pal's Sudden Service, normally called Pal's for short, is a regional fast food restaurant chain located in northeast Tennessee and southwestern Virginia, with stores concentrated in the Tri-Cities, Tennessee metro region.
- At Runza, we Make It All Better with fresh ingredients, real food and people who care about making your meal the right way. Our world-famous Runza Sandwich, classic burgers, beloved crinkle-cut fries and homemade onion rings are our pride and joy. And people seem to really like eating ‘em, too.
- Braum's is an American family-owned restaurant chain based in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
- Zaxby's is a chain of fast casual restaurants offering chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches, and salads. The chain operates primarily in the Southern United States, and has more than 900 locations. Most Zaxby's restaurants are owned by franchisees, but 123 locations are owned by Zaxby's corporate.
- Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips is a fast food seafood restaurant chain. At the peak of its popularity in the late 1970s, it had about 800 stores.
- Skyline Chili is a chain of chili restaurants based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1949 by Greek immigrant Nicholas Lambrinides, Skyline Chili is named for the view of Cincinnati's skyline that Lambrinides could see from his first restaurant, opened in the section of town now known as Price Hill.

Having a Portillo’s right down the street in Scottsdale isn’t good for my body or bank the plus side, it’s right across the street from my cardiologist and hospital. 😂😂😂😂

If you do a Part 4, I'd suggest Olga's, a Michigan-based chain that I used to eat at when they were in the Philadelphia, PA area years ago. They retrenched to their home state but I hope they expand again. Also, Steak n' Shake, a midwest tradition that is also big in FL and GA.

It's funny who she said about how Ohio is an unlikely place for amazing regional foods, yet my city of Toledo has Rudy's Hot Dogs and Tony Packos. I felt like Tony Packos should have been on this list.

About time I found the list with Braum's in it. Best ice cream around, both in the store and by the gallon. The other food items are pretty good too and are reasonable priced. And If you cannot tell by now, I am from Oklahoma. Thanks for including OK's best regional chain.

I thank you for adding Pal's to this series. I suggested it in Part 2 and I'm so glad to see it in Part 3. Pal's is apart of my childhood and I'm glad more people who might not live in my area can know about the place and possibly come try one if they are in the area.

I live in Alabama and am lucky enough to have Jack's restaurants all around me. Their breakfasts are the best. But everything on their menu is!

I love these videos! But i see skyline chili i click!! I am from Cincinnati and it is a big deal around here!! I was excited to see it as the thumbnail 😁😁😁 but if you do another one Cincinnati and surrounding areas have grater's ice cream shop check it out!! I loved Aruthur Treachers! But we don't have one close by anymore

Cook Out is great. We have a few here in the Warner Robins GA metropolitan area. The variety of side items on their combination tray menu is good. Unique sandwich toppings.

Portillo's expansion is needed to spread the Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich and Chicago hotdog into more markets. We used to have a food stand outside our Home Depot that served those items, but it closed several years ago.

Zaxby's tastes great, but their chicken strips get smaller every year and their prices keep increasing.

A few skylines throughout the south. They also sell their chili in some stores! Can find them frozen or in a can. Not as good as fresh from the restaurant but still delicous.

Braums is the bomb we got em in Dallas . Highly recommend the chicken fried steak sandwich and brownie fudge sundae. Caint believe Taco Casa is not on the list.

I have a cookout, pals, and zaxby's in my town " morristown, tennessee ". And they all are awsome. Its a fight with the family to get something to eat when all 3 are brought up.

Skyline chili is amazing. Every time I go through Ohio I have to find a skyline. So tasty. And zaxbys don’t even get me started. I love zaxbys too!!!! Lol
