With a brand new Splatoon game comes a ton of random interactions people are curious about. From Zipcasting through the Rainmaker shield, shoes increasing height, and run speed on the Splatanas I tested 50 myths to see which are real.

Updates: As of Patch 2.1,
13. RP doesn't affect Tacticooler anymore
18. Most Likely Triple Inkstrike does paint more, but I haven't tested it so I'm not sure.
38. It is more fixed. :)
40. While it still doesn't cancel it out still, it should less mitigated now due to NS now stacks back.

I will try my best to add updates/edits as other patches come out but I hope this helps with the myths as the game continues to be updated.

0:25 I understand why this myth exists, and that's largely due to one hero mode level where you have to fight a bunch of Octo Discos (basically big bubbler as an enemy). At the end of said level, the game gives you a Trizooka, which does one shot the Octo Discos if shot straight into them. This would logically lead to the assumption that the big bubbler would act the same

If a second one gets made, help me confirm something I think happened to me once, which relates to the 50th point: I think I got locked onto by missiles in spawn. I super jumped into the map, none of my teammates were still around, and I immediately started taking fire from missiles, dying immediately.

Interesting note about Big Bubbler, you CAN actually jump to it faster! Just use regular QSJ. Weird that it affects jumping to bubbler but not to beakons when there's supposed to be a beakon inside the bubbler, but it works!

2 story related myths
1: Captain 3 will change appearance based on how they look in your Octo Expansion file
2: The octolings in After Alterna will always use their special if they have one when you click the right stick in

Nintendo, either give wiper a better special, or fix stamp. I LOVE the splatana wiper, but it's so useless when it can barely kill anyone with it's special. It doesn't have the greatest object damage, and stamp is one way of fixing that. And then i throw the stamp at the rainmaker shield or a wall that's in the way, and it clips through them.

Loved the editing on this one. I learned so much from this video! The Reef Slider interactions were very interesting to me, because it kind of is like Splashdown in some cases where it can deny some specials.

The splash wall delaying the reef slider is actually useful considering I die to it a lot. Also, next time, can you test if an e-liter can hit you on the spawn pad

Fun fact about bubbler some people still dont know. If you trap an enemy inside it, they cant shoot through it. I have so much fun sending people to the shadow realm.
