I love the cosmic horror the Celestial evoke. They are immense on a scale that is terrifying

Ego’s story is fascinating in that, instead of growing into a giant living being that would burst out of the planet, he bonded with it and became it.

To think that the Celestials are this powerful already seems unfathomable to some, but just wait until other entities like The Living Tribunal gets introduced into the MCU in the future.

Simple answer: He already knew the eternals would stop the emergence... While kang is a strong foe he can't possibly go up against Celestials, he might win once out of 100 times.

I mean Kang is definitely weaker than celestials (and a lot of other beings i bet) in terms of raw power but living outside the timeline, manipulating it and understanding it, is a whole different thing kind of power.

So imagine one of the celestials like arishem breaking the sacred timeline and how akward it would be for the tva to arrest him

I think Kang knew the eternals would stop the birth of Tiamut. He has been engineering the timeline to ensure the survival of earth and its people.

Why do people think Kang is strong enough to "stop the celestials", he is just a time traveler with advanced weapons. In the MCU, he has probably seen all the events that happened, and made changes, which is why he remains after the end of time, but he doesn't control time😒

I do think the simpler answer is that there isn't much Kang could do directly against the Celestials. He just has to stay out of their way and outlast them. Might be a different story for the Conqueror versions of himself since maybe they have crazy tech that could let them handle that. But the guy we saw in the Loki series? Less pure power and more just pure knowledge. Which is pretty handy in terms of controlling the timeline and managing things. Just there are limits to what Kang can do even with the TVA at his beck and call.

I just rewatched the Eternals and came away liking it more the 2nd time. I feel like it's one of those movies you miss a lot the first time around.

I love this breakdown! A point I was arguing about with someone was about how much truth He Who Remains was actually telling Loki and Sylvie, and how much he was withholding. This is a great point echoed in your video.

Correction: Actually, Eternity wasn't the one that created the celestials. The Celestials were created by the First Firmament. The celestials were existing before Eternity. In The Ultimates comic everything was explained. The Celestials existed long before Eternity and even before Eternity's predecessor. They existed before four of Eternity's predecessors. The Celestials are the ones that led to the creation of Eternity.

I think the celestials are beyond time and space, literally in the comics, they existed before eternity. Eternity was created after the first firmament was broken into an infinite amount of pieces. Only few characters are on par with them. Ex: Galactus, Franklin Richards, Phoenix Force, Knull, Marques king and some are way stronger than them like the beyonder, fulcrum, oblivion, living tribunal and etc.

can you make a hierarchicy of all the beings in the mcu currently? i’m kinda confused how kang just rose to power and became god of the mcu basically and how he is more powerful than the celestials

I would definitely say Eternity has a few more natural predators than just the Cosmos, especially those space deities that exist outside the manifestation of a single universe or multiverse. Like the Living Tribunal or the Phoenix.

It’s much more simple than that. Kang isolated HIS timeline, meaning all MCU events before the year 3100 are part of his timeline.

It's simple to me. The celstials simply have way to much power for him to actually stop them. Kang is still a regular dude and even if he can travel and control time can he actually do anything about the celestial creation or do anything to existing ones. I just dont see any possibility for him to really stop them.

Just a minor correction on the astrophysics part. Our sun (Sol) total lifespan is around 10 billion years so it has about 5 billion years left. And as a side note on that, it will get hotter as it ages so Earth has about 1 billion years of being able to sustain life left before all the water boils away.

Excellent recap/overview. This does give a better understanding of the overall aspect. Thanks.
