New Air Force One Jets Now Put Boeing $2 Billion In The Red

It's typically not a surprise when large projects come in behind schedule and over budget. However, the 'new' modified Boeing 747-8i Air Force One aircraft (designated VC-25Bs) takes this trend to another level. Responsible for seeing the project to completion for the United States Air Force (USAF), Boeing recently reported further losses on this fixed-cost contract.

The best news is the fuselage is saved with two turbofans that is much cheaper to operate do not know cost of new wings but logic tells me the plane is not dead and need to but back in flying with two turbofans

These jets are so expensive because of the electronic warfare capabilities that are built into the airplane.They are probably the F-35 block 4 upgrades.
