When the Curtiss Candy Company was first trying to introduce people to the peanut butter and chocolate bar, they loaded up some planes with candy bars and dropped them. It may have been the most delicious airstrike in history, but it sadly did lead to at least one injury. Keeping with this theme, their marketing has been pretty hit-and-miss over the years.
