The assessment shown is the "Secondary Assessment" or "head to toe" exam. This is performed on the awake patient once you have stabilized any major life threats. The goal of this assessment is to make sure you have fully exposed your patient and haven't missed anything from your primary survey.

This is the ultimate video to truly understand how to assess your patient for life threats and emergencies whether it's a medical or trauma call. Those that watch the entire video and take notes will walk away with years of combined knowledge, I recommend you take notes and re-watch the video multiple times to let it all sink in.

I am amazed how many people don't know about the Paramedic coach. I think Evan should have multiple college, high school government contracts because the Paramedic coach material is superb. I read the Pearsons book and just completed my EMT course in my community college, and all the material makes sense after I watch Evans videos. #replay #blessup

I'm 68 and kinda sorta back in the saddle. I'm a former volunteer EMT-B, 20 years removed, and have just recently completed a crash course for EMR. My skills and confidence are extremely rusty. I'm so glad I found your channel. Watching your videos is really helping me regain some of those things that have escaped me. My biggest concern right now is being the first on a scene and being unsure of what to do first after assessing for life threats. I'm sure I'll get better in time as I respond to more calls. Thank-you, Evan, for all you do.

I just recently passed my nremt and your videos helped a lot. I got hired with American ambulance and I thought that I’d be set and ready to go but here I am again already a certified EMT working for a really good private ambulance company and still watching your videos for advice and guidance. I thank you very much for what you do! Your awesome and I don’t think that I would be in my position without your videos and advice!

Never too old to train. Been on the boo-boo bus since Jan. 1992. Looking forward to the premier. Good BLS predicates good ALS & that starts with a good initial assessment.

I just started EMT. To be Frank, it’s so intimidating with all these medical terms and stuff! I’m confident though

TO EVERYONE IN HERE: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND COACH’S PHENOMENAL PROGRAM! Man oh man! I personally run 911 for private ambulance, run in the fire department as an intern, sometimes do urgent care, and a medic for MSG Sphere in Las Vegas. (All those are randomly and not at same time, it’s to keep for intern, and licensing issues. In case you’re wondering lol), and this program and this page has helped me fully understand more in depth! I love this!

This helps a lot. I’m taking my EMT-B written exam tomorrow and thought I refresh my memory and gain some tips. #bonusfam

I have found this channel so useful as a ski patroller because it goes deeper than my OEC. I actually decided to enroll in a W-EMT because of this channel. I start this April. Thank you for these videos

love Evan's program. Passed my paramedic in 76 questions after going thru his video's. It was my 3rd attempt. I didnt use his videos on the 1st 2 just test question sites that apparently was enough cause i went to 150 both of those times and failed. I still use his site even though i am finished with testing. Never stop learning.

Just watch your video, I’ve been an EMT for 40 years. An instructor for 20, working in a large inner city in northern New Jersey. I’m going back to teaching. I think your videos are wonderful filled with good information. Thank you so much I will be running two classes back to back this summer. I have over 200 students out on the road. I consider them all my children. Wish them luck they’re going to be amazing. And thank you for everything you do. You are much appreciated.
