If patient exhibit shock S/S n life threatening injuries dont we load n go, performing secondary en route? I mean the patient is dying and the EMT is like let me check this (x17) off! Imagine its a child...im load n go after flail chest deminished signs, or unresponsive? ALS could be stalled up and you had opportunity to get patient to hospital. I guess nothing is perfect but if im 8 minutes from trauma center n ALS 12 minutes out, ...im taking the patient and getting fired later....
