I love how universal this is, no matter what your industry. Favorite instance was this one day, I worked at a flight school and after a group of instructors got back from their flights in sketchy weather (it was a do it or else big brass mad-mad scenario). They checked back in with me and immediately stripped off their pilot shirts and we went down to the bar (off campus) where they each had this white face as they gave renditions of how they all almost died.

I would wear a shirt under. Especially with retail when ur trying to go on breaks etc. Just peel it off and boom. UPDATE TO MY COMMENT. I did not work in a restaurant. I worked in a retail store.

We weren't allowed to sit down after work at any of my jobs. You had to come in on your day off. I even worked one fine dining place that not only didn't give you a discount but you had to beg the manager to come in if you wanted to eat there. They didn't like the idea of regulars seeing the servers eating like real people lol such a sleazy place.

In a bar in Germany, we were celebrating the Royal Engineers “birthday”. Went to the bar, wouldn’t serve us in uniform (the bar was packed), naked bar was called and that was the answer, no uniform, no problem.

I’m realizing that the bartender is the best position to work in a restaurant not only do servers have to tip pool w you but they also tip you when they go to the bar after their shifts. It’s like a hack 😂😂😂
