I don't know about you, but I understood his rules not only through one point of view but through several, psychologically, personal, economical, and etc. It seems like you understood it only through one or two and then decided that his rules weren't good enough.

By the way. You don't have to take everything as 100% literal. JBP speaks often in broad terms and in metaphor.

You're mistaken about Cuba. You're drinking the state kool-aid. Besides, what use is literacy if you're dirt poor and have no means to overcome your station. People who visit Cuba will often barter with goods since the local populace isn't allowed to use the same currency as foreigners. Giving them money is virtually worthless.
