I have an old Parrot fish that has survived so much and now has white spots on his forehead. He's the only fish affected. After watching your video and looking at images I really think he has lymphocystis so thank you!!!

im new at this and my neon tetra has one big white spot on the forehead .... im not treating but thing ill whait a little before quarantine or do something else. thanks for the info. greetings from cdmx

thanks I’m dealing with this, and I certainly don’t. wanna do a medication if I don’t need to. In my common sense corner I’ve thought exactly that, don’t have it in my tank and the tank I got them from that LFS has pristine water. i’ve heard of peoples snowflake heel dying when they’re treating for it so I don’t wanna treat my tank if I don’t need to.

Kind of like Clownfishes too! They got it too and I thought it was from stress from transfer. Then over night those spots disappeared. Yes I agree keep feeding them so they can fight it. Garlic is my go to from Brightwell.

Same thing happened with my blue tang when I first introduced it. Ripped my tank apart to treat all my fish (ttm) and left my tank fallow for three month. Put my fish back in and two days later my blue tang was covered in spots again. Turns out it was flukes. Lost 20 fish in the process and it wasn’t even ich to begin with. So stressful.

Nice video..if fish gets ich, definitely fish will strach against rocks or something, we can know anyway by that.

Just got first fish delivery ever. Couple small peacocks but main fish I ordered for was red fin Borleyi. Just put in grow out/quarantine tank with the other two yesterday when I received them and this morning he has spots. Isn’t it true that if it is Ich and untreated he will die and affect the whole tank?

My cichlid has some white patches near tailfin. Doesn't look like ick but not really like this either...he stays by one rock and other bully him if he leaves. He only leaves to ear. Any ideas?

So I got 2 small baby clowns and a yellow belly damsel. Only the one smallest clowns has white spots. The other 2 are fine? Surely cant be ich?
