ICH or White Spot disease or Ichthyophthirius multifiliis is on of the most common disease (here: parasitic infection) for our aquarium fish. But there are cases where we do a wrong diagnosis because other infections or diseases look very similar to ICH. Therefore, in such cases where the ICH cannot be cured, a new diagnosis should be done with a microscope! Ask your pet shop, expert or vet!

An absolute wonderful video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I've been following your work for some time and recently been paying a lot of attention to your nutrition recommendations and the importance of probiotics / prebiotics to fish's immune systems as well. I lost over a 1000 discus to a severe outbreak of Cryptobia Iubilans variation. I could see under a microscope the stomach granulomas that they created as well as intestinal lining and epithelium damage they caused to the organs. I also enjoyed your content on the much debated Hexamita / Spironucleus Vortens flagellate. I would love to import your foods from Europe to South Africa in the future for our ornamental industry here. Much discus love from South Africa.

Thanks for the video. I would love to see a video on epistylis in comparison to ich. There is a common trend on social media fish groups to diagnose epistylis when the disease is ich or possibly the "new ich."
