Recovering from a bad PC BIOS update.

Have a motherboard where the BIOS update went wrong? If it's on a motherboard with a socketed EEPROM, it can likely be easily recovered if the motherboard vendor provides a proper binary image of the update in the updates themselves. Some manufacturers like Lenovo however do not do this and this video won't apply. Sometimes you can however find hidden binary images in executable's by using 7-Zip to explore the contents of them.

YA trash master has the same bios chip. It wont flash the newest bios on it. I dunno why

Great video. My board crashed during a bios flashback and I wasn't able to boot it. I RMA'ed of course and they returned it to me with just saying BIOS written. And they didn't screw tightly my Wi-Fi antenna ports so I guess my EEPROM is under there and they removed the left IO panel or heatsink to access it. Would've done it myself if I've seen this video and wait 2 weeks for my mobo. EEPROM programmers are cheap so 2 weeks without mobo against 5 dollar is definetely worth it for me. I will try this next time if I screw up with bios :D. Thanks

I recently updated my laptop bios and after that my laptop is not booting and it keeps blinking the battery charging light I have tried booting it with power cord and removing battery but nothing worked any solution please let me know

If you got the stuck screen on bios plug your charger and it will resume the update.

Can you help me about my prob my screen keeps on flickering then i search what is the problem then somone told me to update the bios since its old version ( im using msi mobo)i go to mflash then the screen is black my keyboard and mouse is not lighting so i waited hours then nothing happen moment of waiting brownout happens my pc got shut when i tried to open it still no display is my pc dead??

Dell Bios firmware updated failed; Release May 28, 2020; controls keyboard, mouse, drives, other devices; Inspiron series; package for MS Windows -- my laptop now no longer has VGA recognition of larger monitor, so I think this is why????

if you find another motherboard which works with the same chip, you can remove it while it's working and plug your corrupt chip while the motherboard working and program it. I did this years ago and recovered dozena of Chernobyl damaged mainboards with unknown manufacturers like Tomato :) brand motherboards ...
