In this recipe, I will show you how to make a quick homemade teriyaki sauce. This pantry teriyaki sauce recipe is easy to make with readily available pantry items you have at home and it tastes out-of-this-world delicious. It goes well with chicken, beef, pork, salmon, veggies and lots more. This quick and easy at home teriyaki sauce can be used as a marinade, glaze or dipping sauce.

Ingredients:
- 4 Garlic Cloves or roughly 12g
- 1/2 cup or 100g Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp or 30ml Rice Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp or .5g Ground Ginger
- 2 tsp or 10ml Sesame Oil -
- 3 tbsp or 24g Corn Starch
- 4 tbsp or 60ml Water
- 1 tbsp or 9g Sesame Seeds

Makes roughly 1.5 cups or 375ml

** The above recipe is for a thick and sticky sauce. For a thinner sauce use less of the cornstarch slurry. Pour a small amount into the sauce- a little at a time- bring to a simmer to check the thickness. Continue this process until you reach the desired thickness.

You were doing great until you went to the ground ginger. Those store bought spice bottles lose their flavor quickly, so I always use this trick.
Next time you're at the store buy several pieces of ginger and freeze it. When it's frozen you can grate it on a micro plane, and you won't have to deal with the fibrous strings. Other than that? Looks good!

I doubled the batch this time. I keep it stored in a covered pyrex bowl in the freezer. It doesn't quite freeze all the way, so it's easy to just take a few tablespoons, or however much is needed out of the bowl. I always use it for wings, but this time I marinated chicken breasts overnight and put them on the grill. Turned out amazing!

Made it tonight. Here are my notes.
Do NOT preheat the pan. Had fun with hot brown sugar.
Did not have sesame oil, but a friend said it would be fine and the seeds will work fine.
Tastes great! Super easy and quick. Going to experiment more with it to get it to my families taste perfection.
