I just painted my roof. It turned out so well im looking at wrap videos...

Mad DIY respect! I DIY everything on my 24 year old car so it runs well. I'd like to paint it as an ultimate DIY test/project but time and location aren't realistic. I've been intrigued with wrapping but most videos are by pros. I just looked on Amazon and see multiple brands, none at '$80' as you mentioned so I suspect most are Chinese now. I don't have clearcoat damage like yours (Japanese cars are awesome, but they didn't make their clearcoating process last as long as the cars. All brands do this, even Lexus!). When I first thought of this idea, I asked a local body guy who was doing side work how much to prep my car (of little dent or two, etc.), he wants as much as a paint job. I'll do that myself, too.

I see your car often, I drive the blue 86 that’s sometimes in the same garage where you park. I have admired your car so many times and never even noticed it was wrapped, it looks great!

I’m not sure if you bought it like that, but I just wax the car regularly and my paint looked factory new for over 4 years. I got compliments all the time

Use a hair dryer set to maximum heat if you don’t have a heat gun

I have a question with those spots on the roof of your car did you sand it or you just wash it then put on the wrap? Bro you gave me hope!! I can’t wrap my car. I didn’t want to buy a new car cause I love my car. But paint is going away due to the sun.

I’d think a heat gun would be needed to stretch wrap the antenna with one small piece of wrap.
