Can Beginners Wrap a Car in 24 Hours?

Wrapping a car can’t be that hard right?

A full-colour change on a car can be THOUSANDS, but a wrap in that colour is pretty cheap - HOWEVER, you’ve gotta pay someone or learn to do it yourself.

So Will and I - as two COMPLETE beginners are going to attempt to wrap our “Race Car” Subaru in 24 hours. However - there are stakes.

We’re trying to beat a Supercar with only £15 grand budget, and currently we’re sorting some engine mods for the next episode.

BUT - we can’t beat a Lamborghini looking like THIS. Carscoops even described the Scooby as ‘clapped out’. So we’re wrapping it.

If we get it done in 24 hours - we get to keep the wrap for free. But if we don’t it comes off our budget for mods - and we REALLY don’t want that.

Hi guys, I’m the old git (61)who owned this car from 2017 then gave it to my son who then sold it on in 2021ish. Sorry about the paint on the rear bumper, a rattle can special which is about as good as your wrapping on it. The clutch has always been high and I’m not surprised that it’s gone. I’m amazed the engine is taking the abuse as it was starting to use oil when I had it. It’s brilliant what you are doing, keep it up. I would name it “Lambo slayer” well hopefully. Jim

Honestly impressed you guys knocked it out in 24 hours. My first time was doing it outside under trees, so was constantly washing and making sure the prep did it's job. Aside from working on this throughout the week, it took me about 6-8 days to do myself.

The first car I wrapped was my uncle's C6 from white to yellow (Avery Dennison)!

It was just the two of us and it took us two weeks. Mon-Fri was from 6pm-10pm. Weekends was noon to midnight. It was an incredible experience and I've gone to help wrap more cars with a friend. You guys did great!

This is a really brilliant topic, I’m really into track cars and track days, living on an island makes it difficult so this helps! Stage by stage development in this form is brilliant viewing given the goal. Really looking forward to the rest of this, I have my fingers crossed on the budget build, I recon it’s going to be close either way.

Tbh im really surprised how well u handled the wrapping process. It looks amazaing for me, those bad spots doesn't really matter because u did it without a lot of help and that buys me.
