I know why Scotty likes this truck.
Everything from the turbo to the DEF system is constant maintenance.
But when they are new, they're great.
This Chevy Canyon truck would be a great lease vehicle.

NOOO SCOTTY!!!! My parents got me a 2017 Chevy Colorado 2.8l duramax for my 17th birthday in September 2019. Had 32k miles on it. 4 months in, the engine and trans exploded in my school parking lot. Dealer had it for weeks and said they couldn’t do anything. They told me to bring it to the original dealer. It took almost 2 months for the engine and trans to come in. The truck was never right after that. I had to keep bringing it back and my family got sick of it. We made the dealer buy it back and now I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Couldn’t be happier!!!!

I got that good a mileage with the 4 cylinder gas engine on a 25 mile segment near Waynesboro, Va, a lot was downhill. Routinely on the road it gets close to 30mpg, engine now has 242000 miles, no oil consumption yet

It seems that the 4 cyl diesel is something new in the U.S., lets see if maybe the Hilux, L200, BT-50, D-max make it there too.

They are Excellent with fuel and have more torque than a 6 cyl gas engine, no need for gas in a truck, diesel all the way.

Say it aint so Scotty. Talking up a GM Vehicle. You know what I miss. Those little Datsun and Toyota trucks from the 70--90's Those things were bullet proof. I wish somebody would bring one of those back. Not everyone needs a truck to be able to tow a large thing.

Isuzu has been making and improving the 2.8 l engine for quite some time. Very reliable.

In portugal we have a lot of truck and vans with 4 cilindrs...and are very good!

Before you fall in love. The 4 cycliders are bolted to a transmission for a V8. A very good friend of mine just had his new one actually taking back and given a refund. All he did was drive around town nothing crazy. He had 4 months and went through 2 transmissions
