Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be haunted by Colonel Sanders? What could make such a thing a reality? That's where today's theory starts! You see in Japan KFC is HUGELY popular, so much that there are even statues of the Colonel himself. Would you believe that one of those statues is responsible for a CURSE put on a Japanese baseball team? Theorists, this is about to get WEIRD!

Omg I'm Egyptian and what you said is SO TRUE. In Egypt they treat Pizza Hut like a fine dining restaurant only the elite can go to 😭

The idea that the colonel decided to help the team because he sympathized with them on being an under dog is honestly really wholesome.

Honestly, full respect to the Colonel, but if a crowd of Japanese baseball fans threw a statue of me into a river because I looked like one of their foreign baseball players, I would feel absolutely honored 😂.

As a Kentuckian, I love the idea of the Curse of the Colonel in Japan of all places. KFC is legit more popular in Japan than in my home state of Kentucky.

Moral of the story: statues can't consent to being thrown in the water.

Me: "What?"
Matpat: "So Japan...."
Me: "Ah, fair."

As a person from the UK, the Christmas turkey dinner actually is a thing over here. I guess it’s because we don’t have thanksgiving. But maybe that’s were the idea of a traditional Christmas turkey comes from.

Fun Fact: Turkey for Christmas IS very traditional, just not in America, it’s actually the most common main dish for Christmas here in England, despite most people admitting they don’t even like it, Ham is the second most popular and in my house, we opt for Beef Wellington

Also, MatPat, if you ever visit China, don’t make your fast food visit Pizza Hut, I did when I went and it was easily the worst thing I’ve ever eaten, there were mostly onions topping it (despite me ordering pepperoni and ham), and most confounding, absolutely zero sauce, not even exaggerating, not a single drop, just base, cheese, and toppings
