After taking tennis 101 and 201 classes I thought I would see how I did at a tournament. My first match was a default, which was unfortunate because I wouldn't get any consolation matches, landing me in the semifinals for my first "official" match.

Goals: Gain experience, not go 0-6, 0-6, not double fault every time.

Thanks for sharing! I'm a beginner and this was a great example of what to expect at 3.0 level as well as practice following game mechanics and scoring at a pace slower than professional match. Good job, keep it up!

Thanks for sharing! You are going to have to introduce a slice into your game, forehand and backhand. Also, at this level if you can learn to hit a drop shot you will win a lot of points. I would also play up on those 2nd serves when someone is serving at such a slow pace. You can pick your spots and rip some winners by just positioning yourself a little better. FYI, I am a 3.0 myself so by far not even close to be "good" at tennis but I have learned a lot in the last 6 months.
