SketchUp: Import an STL File

Download/install the STL plugin, search the Thingiverse for an stl file, and import it into SketchUp as editable geometry.

for more 3 MB file size it takes long long time to import ....is there any way to solve this issue ?

Thanks, even those using the Eval version can use the Ext Wrhse but the time clock seems to tick that much faster. THis is not easy for the new guys that just would like to do a simple "Remix" of a useful but tiny little slice of a cylinder. Just to get it to a place where you can work on it. Something that is a little larger than a quarter.
 I am thankful you ended on Exploding the Imported. OMG I am in deep here :-) !!!

Hi, I have Sketchup 2017. I added STL extension. When I try to import any stl file, the program is not responding.. What should I do and what can I fix this problem ?

Can you only import/export STL files using Sketchup Pro???

When you say edit you mean scale, lol thats not really editing is it?
