This was a validating video. I am old and a lifelong rooster tail (fish catcher not fisherman). I nearly always use 1/6th oz. and use mostly white but often brown colors. Most of the time I fish in a small reservoir with water flow like a big deep river near the dam. I cast out far counting the drop near to the bottom (15-20 sec.) and real in slow with a little jerk pop now and then. I catch my limit nearly every time and most are 12-15" stocked trout. Not often enough, maybe once a week. Tight lines and tasty eating. Thanks for this very good video.

I love fishing with spinners, nothing better than an ultralight rod/reel where you can feel the spinner humming in the water.

When I do my trout🎣fishing
I always try to stick with the most smallest or the lightest size I can.
Like a 1/32 oz or a 1/24 oz. rooster tails,
Also I try to stick with these colors too. silver white and gray, now for me these colors work great in the rain, on cloudy days or after it rains. I do nail them all the time with these colors. You just have to try to find out what works best for you. Awesome review, awesome tips and great video tight lines.

In the last tip (1) segment, are you fishing with the Pflueger Supreme XT? I am concerning this purchase and doing research. Pricey, but seems like folks like it for trout, UL fishing. I mostly fish streams and rivers. - Thxs for your feedback.

Been trout fishing for 30 years, the only baits I used 99 percent of the time was the 1/8 oz yellowcoachdog and yellow power bait . For me all the other colors but maybe black, suck. I catch hundreds of trout in every to year . I tie my spinners directly to the 4lb test...

Does not look like you use a swivel, and tie directly to the lure - is twist ever an issue?

the aluminum blades suck . the rooster tails made with steel blades were much better . i would pay more money for the old design made with steel blades .

I feel like there were zero tips on actually how to fish the rooster tail vs just covering it in scent. :(
