An air eliminator removes unwanted air from a hydronic heating system. Air can trap vapor in a hydronic heating system which will damage and corrode pipes and system components. Air can also create irritating noise and increased energy consumption by blocking flow and impeding heat transfer. An air eliminator will reduce air in your heating system which will allow for quiet operation and minimize costs.

Air eliminators should be installed in a place where the water is as hot as possible and has low velocity. In most cases this is near the boiler, but before the circulator pump allowing air to be removed more effectively.

Some are also available as dirt separators and also remove dirt particles from a hydronic system.
