Upgrading a $169 Fender Squier Tele – Is it Worth it?

I picked up a Fender Squier Bullet Limited Edition Telecaster for $169 including Shipping. I decided to upgrade the tuners, pickguard, wiring, and pickups.

Tuners - Hipshot locking tuners.
Wiring - Tone Shaper 3 Position Wiring Kit.
Pickups – a set of new Fender Yosemite Pickups.
Last but not least I picked up a Sugar Skull pickguard from Stratosphere

You can't go wrong with a Tele Squier! It's great to begin with and only gets better as you upgrade!

I recently got a deluxe tele squire as the first squire I've ever owned and I'm blown away by it...At this moment totally happy with everything but maybe with time I'll make it my dream guitar...Thanks for sharing....

Absolutely! This is exactly what I did to mine. I installed 64 classics in mine as opposed to yours!

I put a d-activaror and also tried an emg 81 in my sonic esquier. Both sounded amazing... but I got the emg for 20€ so im keeping that and sending back the dimarzio. 169 euro tele, is now a 189€ tele.. rammstein tones on a budget :)

I have a Squier bullet tele I love more than any other guitar. I had the bridge pickup swapped with a humbucker and I love it but my control panel is going out. Can you please tell me which parts you got for the panel you built?

I’m thinking about modding my $100 Bullet Tele by adding like $1600 worth of fender things to it… replacing the neck and tuners, new electronics and pickups, and new bridge, pick guard, and control plate.
