Upgrading a $169 Fender Squier Tele – Is it Worth it?

I picked up a Fender Squier Bullet Limited Edition Telecaster for $169 including Shipping. I decided to upgrade the tuners, pickguard, wiring, and pickups.

For the tuners I used Hipshot locking tuners.
For the wiring I purchased a Tone Shaper 3 Position Wiring Kit.
For the Pickups – I had a set of new Fender Yosemite Pickups.
Last but not least I picked up a Sugar Skull pickguard from Stratosperedotcom.

Great work! I totally agree with your view on what gives a good guitar sound... Your upgraded guitar is just as good as any Fender, at least in the sound department! Subscribed, as I am a collector and I like to play and mod cheap guitars too! 👍

For some reason I thought the hipshot tuners cost more than this guitar stock but I guess I was wrong
