Have you ever done water popping instead of conditioner. You want the grain raised to take the stain evenly. If the fibers are closed it won't take the stain as evenly

Stripping, sanding, and staining a coffee table this weekend. I don’t know if you covered this in past videos but I am having trouble determining what color of stain to buy to get the look I’m trying to achieve. I hope to take your power tool class soon. Love your videos!

I just ordered some butcher block for a laundry room countertop. Am I able to apply the halcyon directly to the wood without any conditioner, stain or other finish? Thank you for your videos.
