Do you have a lot of peppers from your garden and don't know what to do with them? Dehydrate them! We show how we dry and grind cayenne into powder that can be added to all sorts of meats and vegetables. It's easy and lasts a long time in the spice shelf.

I can't wait for the snow to go away here so I can get my 2 Habanero plants outdoors. Started them about 2 months ago and I have hundreds of blossoms already. I am going to make some fermented hot sauce and dry the rest for storage. I am going to experiment a bit and smoke them with some Mesquite chips before I dehydrate them.

Jalapeños good in cornbread and in burger mix, probably refried rice too. Maybe a spoonful in the minestrone pot.

Have you made cayenne powder without the seeds? I have seen it made both ways but wondered if it makes a difference?

Please tell me what kind of grinder you use. And could you also give me the name of the dryer? Thank you very much!
