Small Opening Mistake | O'Kelly variation which Samay Raina learnt from GM Surya Ganguly

During Comedians on Board 3 (COB3) Samay Raina trained under the able guidance of GM Surya Ganguly. Being a world class second who has helped Anand to win three World Championship matches, Surya came up with a nice surprise weapon for Samay that is both relatively unknown and at the same time sound - The O'Kelly variation in the Sicilian.

The moves go 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 a6!? Now is White's 3.d4 a Small Opening Mistake? For years everyone has been saying so. IM Sagar Shah looks at this line in greater depth and brings you some very interesting ideas for both white and black.

This Small Opening Mistakes series is improving my understanding of openings so much. Never end this series. It's really very very helpful.

Please continue this series, it is absolutely helpful against the aggressive player who just want to attack from first move
with all there pieces remains unprotected.

6:08, I was thinking of Bg5 after f5. Is it possible to play that move?🤔🤔

May be black can take the bishop with his queen and after Q×d5+ Be6 Qc5. I think this is not so bad for white. Correct me if I am wrong 😄

Sagar, I have a doubt at 2 :46
If white further pushes his pawn, then what is reply by black
