How do you learn new stuff like R?
I mean when you decide to learn something new, like R or Shell or LaTeX for example, where do you go and what kind of tutorial do you look for? Is it some other persons video or Text books or Documentation for the software or anything else
Which one do you look up first

What is the output of commands like plot()? Is it postscript? Is it some sort of image file? How are you able to view it from the command line?
