I prefer Delta, then Southwest. The reason we avoid airlines like Frontier and Allegiant is because of their limited flights. They only fly 1 or 2 days a week and only 1 flight a day in many of those markets. So if weather or mechanical issues happen you may be stranded because their next flight is not for 2 or 3 more days...

Always fly Delta. Have had the Delta Amex Card for almost 20 years, so my luggage does fly free and I get at least double miles on all flights. Bogo on tickets once per year also, highly recommended.

Delta is my go to. Flying is stressful enough so paying more for comfort and better service is worth it .

I prefer Delta because of reliability and comfort. I'm a big fan of the seat back TVs also. Lately have flown United more just because of the price difference between Delta and United and they have been fairly good. Last April my daughter and I flew to Orlando on United in First Class for cheaper than the economy flights on Delta. I usually do First Class anyway because of the baggage fees and the the other perks also. Also connecting in Detroit with Delta (like you were in the video) is better than other places I've connected through. Newark can be a nightmare on United.

Thank you for comparing the 3 airlines. Personally I have only flown Southwest nonstop flights from Indy to MCO. We have never had any issues. The only thing I dislike about Southwest is not having assigned seating. My last flight in November my family and I paid $15 extra each way per person for EarlyBird Check-In and it was worth it! We were automatically assigned boarding group A both times. We had no problem finding seats together. Unfortunately by the time the last group boarded some families had to split up because there were only random seats left.

We are Delta all the way. We save up more on our travel budget just to fly them because we haven’t found the experience anywhere close to as nice with any other carrier we’ve flown.

I feel like I saw this guy at Frontier service counter directing international flight customer at mco airport in Orlando. There was like a huge crowd at frontier counter and no service agent around first thing to begin with. I was hour and 40 mnts early before my flight. Tried to check in at kiosk, almost for 20 minutes. Looked around for an agent for help, that’s when I saw this man shouting his head off to direct six full line of ppl for international flight. I kept trying at all the kiosk, none was able to print boarding pass. One lady directing ppl in the line asked me to go to bag drop off counter for domestic flights, again huge line and only two ppl at the counter. Finally made it at the counter at around one hour prior to flight, and she told me you missed your flight.

Another gentleman had same issue. That lady directed us at additional service counter. No one at the counter. After 20 mnt wait, someone directed us at international counter… what a run around, that lady, in a split of mnt assigned that African American gentleman to a different flight or something. I did not see any motion of rebooking or new transaction process for his flight. As I approached her, she had a quick response asking me to rebook for another flight after 11 hours wait. No ears to listen what was the issue with the kiosk or nothing. I was left with a feeling of being less privileged for not being the same ethnicity like that gentleman ahead of me and a zero curtesy attitude service agent lady. I chose southwest over frontier to rebook being rebellious to Frontier stealing my money. How horrible and devastating feeling of being robbed of $217. I should remember you get what you pay for.

Delta!!! I’d rather have my seat assigned and I like the option of upgrading my ticket for better service.

Amazing video MK really interesting breakdown. Allegiant is a cheaper flight that is based out of the nearby Sanford airport

No alcohol on Southwest is a deal breaker for me. I’m a very nervous flyer so a couple drinks is a must. lol

Delta is my favorite but I've definitely done plenty of Frontier and Spirit flights from ATL to MCO in the past. Now I've found that their flights are super early or late in the day.

This is a great video. We fly Southwest a lot b/c my daughter is in college in Sarasota. I have noticed since Thanksgiving that the non stop flight are only one or two a day.

Great video Michael! You’re spot on. I’ve flown on all three and I agree with you. Delta is the best and like most things you get what you pay for.

Timely video - we are flying Southwest for the first time at Christmas (to Orlando) and Frontier (also first time) in January for our cruise. I am a bit worried on SW not being able to sit with my party, I did not realize they don’t assign seats! My fave is Delta as well but was a lot more $ this time. From Canada we like air Canada premium & Westjet.

Southwest has rapid rewards, so they track miles and have various member status levels.

Southwest has always been our choice for trip from the NE to FL. Cost is usually much lower than other airlines, more direct flights, luggage fee included and since we have a SW credit card, have earned a ton of points. Downside is not picking your seat but we have opted for one person in our party to board group A and hold seats for the remainder of our party without issue. Have heard great things about delta though. Flew frontier once in a trip to Florida and will never fly them again. You are correct that you need to price out all the extras using them as you’ll find that you don’t really save much.
