Stupid title. You put the name of the shooter but not the victim. Absolute disrespect

Gets his ankle blown off, survives a massacre, and is now studying to become an EMT in order to save people's lives from traumatic injuries. What an amazing guy! His life honors the memory of every single victim killed that day.

The way his face lit up when he mentioned that he was in school to become an EMT/paramedic. What a hero. I hope he heals from this traumatic incident.

I think this is where the lack of understanding comes from, people don't realize that there weren't only 17 victims. Everyone in that freshman building is traumatized for life and now they have to retell their trauma to an audience. It is devastating. I hope they're all getting therapy & have a good support system.

I love that he just said "the shooter" instead of a name. Excellent!! Don't give him the satisfaction. I'm in awe of this young man.

KYLE LAMAN that should’ve been the name used in this title. His testimony was so vivid. I can’t even begin to possibly fathom seeing what he saw living what he went through. I hope he can heal from this trauma and I wish him so much peace and happiness he’s so brave to become an EMT. I literally want to cry right now.

This guy was literally running through a flurry of bullets. Not even an adult and already experienced warfare. What a brave soul.

This kid was literally born with a purpose. He didn’t choose it, but it’s clear how bad the world needs him, and I bet he can feel it.
*His life will be beautiful.*

This is gutting. When he said he told his friend “we’re gonna die” I got chills. So traumatizing. And hearing him say he saw lots of bodies in the hallway. I cannot imagine what it’s like to have to talk about it. I really hope he’s taking care of himself.

Bless his heart. he will make a very good EMT because he has compassion and KNOWS what it is like to be injured and scared. It's a great thing he chose a career that SAVES lives.

When he described how Joaquin was trying to find a way out, I instantly got sad because Joaquin was one of the kids who didn't survive this massacre. Just Sad‼️

This young man, like many other people, are walking proof that past trauma is not a valid excuse to hurt other people.

I saw the picture of his ankle on Instagram. How he managed to run out of the building with a completely shattered ankle blown out is just incredible. Adrenaline really is a hell of a drug. Glad he made it out and that he's getting stronger every day, physically and metaphorically. I bet he was anxious beyond belief up on the stand but seeing him crack his knuckles and stare down the coward who shot him must have been so cathartic. Brave man, bravo

You can tell he's struggling emotionally while recalling the events of that day, it's so traumatizing, and yet he's really trying to hold it together. Commendable that's he's training to be a paramedic, and I hope is able to heal emotionally from all this.

It kills my heart watching these testimonies from the kids. You can see how traumatized they are talking about this incident. Like you can see the anxiety on his face. I could NOT even begin to imagine.

Good luck to this young man, he has PTSD you can see. Going to be a paramedic takes guts and courage and faith in humanity. God bless him. I did Army, then paramedic for 6yrs then Police for 12, I now have PTSD, its part of the job, you think its gone, but it never goes . He's a brave man to go through this again. This makes me cry.

He looks like his PTSD set in when the date was stated. I pray for his peace mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I lived like three houses from Kyle. I still have the video from when they brought him home, all the cops and paramedics lined up the street. I remember seeing his foot and him telling my wife & I the story of him making eye contact with shooter. My prayers will always be with him and his family. All I remember is how happppy his parents were to have him home. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

These kids who were victimized are quite inspiring. They ALL have continued school and moved on with their lives.
