It's also proof they don't manually review permabans. I believe they always said the final ban on an account was done manually by a human. I'd like to see his appeal and their response but my guess is it would be a negative and fully automated response.

I really hope they come up with a completely different report system for the MMO. Losing an account on league is "fine" as you don't really lose progress, but you do in a mmo.

Is that mean Riot doesn't put a system to check if those report is legitimated and reveal that automatic system didn't actually check anything. They are just ban people who receive certain numbers of reports in a days(or specific duration of time).

TBH, I am absolutely baffled as a computer engineer that their servers allow you to mass report someone with spam reports in an unrealistic amount of time for it to have happened naturally. But then again lol is spaghetti coded to all hell so I suppose I expect nothing less.

(English is not my first language so sorry for any typos), I already had my account banned like this, I was playing a ranked match on against a Darius, he got so pissed that he threatened to use bots to ban my account, I initially ignored it and just kept playing the game until I won, after that I went to lunch, imagine my surprise when I went back to the computer, logged into the game, only to find that my account was banned, nice to know someone finally noticed this, hope riot fixes the bug soon

Riot has a bug bounty program... he should've reported it there before releasing it publicly, that is the standard way to do that, otherwise its hard to claim he has no malicious intent.

2 weeks ago I got reported and perma banned for winning 6 games in a row and playing good in 4 of them.

Riot should maybe just rethink the entire "Report system" I've never seen another game that had anything like this and the idea that the players can just mass report post game because they had a bad time basically means people will get banned for no real reason. The only thing people should get banned for is trolling/running it down in ranked but it seems that just spamming reports can get someones account taken down

I knew it was bullshit when i got a 14-day chat restriction for typing “smd” in game. The ENTIRE game there was no flame whatsoever, i typed like 7 times, we were winning constantly throughout the game so there was no reason for flaming anyways, i was honor 3 so no prior punishments or anything, and i typed “smd” when my adc took blue from me, in which he replied with “xD” and that was it. Other messages were me saying “my bad, ahh im titled (after missplaying), my bad (again), good job, lmao lets go, YO BARON, i mean what are you even doing there, gg” that was the entire chat log, and i got 14 DAYS CHAT RESTRICITON FOR TYPING “SMD” in a joking manner. I sent a ticket, talked to a rioter because i definitely wasnt gonna take seriously a botted response from blitzcrank, and they said that the punishment was deserved because i used a flagged word that violates their summoners code or whatever or something about bad sportsmanship and the restriction will stand and was applied rightfully. If this company isnt trying to put itself in the grave i dont know what they trying to do
