Jim Jam is one of those designers who dumpster dives to repurpose other people's cast-offs. He's always looking for ways to turn trash into treasure. He sees beauty in unexpected places. Vintage furniture stores are also his "jam". That piece of artwork in his dining room is a composite piece of his own making. He found the art, added the neon detail, and then placed it in a fancy guilt frame that he salvaged from a dumpster. Voila, a J.J. Yarn original! All this to say, he dumpster dives for extra cash. The stuff he can't upcycle into art or furniture for his own place, he sells. And that shabby chic apartment in San Myshuno? That was FULL of J.J. Yarn finds. Just go with it!

He should do flower arranging for the side hustle. Interior decorators are always adding tons of gorgeous fresh flower arrangements to spaces and he loves gardening. He could bring fresh bouquets to add to the renovations and he could have a small weekend farm stand to sell them just here and there.

That industrial window that you had acting as a divider in the kitchen was so nice. It would be cool if Jim Jam's flat had lots of 'leftover' industrial aspects from before the building was repurposed in to flats. Like the metal columns etc....that would look really cool with random, eclectic furnishings as a contrast.

I low-key ship Tulle and JimJam together like a childhood neighbor friends reconnecting as adult friends since they've been in both tiny towns 😂 (Also with Tulles name being a type of fabric and JimJam being an interior designer (also going hand in hand with fashion influencing), his electic style matching her pastels it's too fitting)
Plus she was the first person to welcome him to the apartment ❤

The things you found in your inventory are from customers' homes, when you remove a shelf that has a decoration on it, for example, it goes into your inventory

I love the window in the kitchen (personally preferred the one before the bistro one). If you make that wall a half wall but set it to the tallest option, you can still alt/place the window and then when you play with walls down, that wall stays up with the window.

I haven’t played as a Home Decorator in a while but I usually skip the reveal to the client. I find that skipping the reveal usually results in earning money!

I feel like Jim-Jam would sell his paintings and maybe bouquets and knickknacks in a small store. The storyline could be that he produces stuff for his clients but if they don’t „chose“ items or it feels off in their space after renovation, he puts it in his store to sell. But he only opens at odd hours (i.e. every other Saturday for an afternoon or every Sunday for 3 hrs for „brunch and browse or something“) because he just does it for the fun of it and wanting to see his work out in the world.

You had Marion's tombstone! You held a funeral to get it and placed her at the cemetery. Made her a whole little memorial there and everything. I do think it'd be best to move her to the lot, though! Have her ghost around like nothing ever happened, which is SO her. Even beyond the grave she's mothering and serving (both in the literal sense and metaphorical.)

It would make more sense to have the music equipment in a room upstairs, and they can have a ladder up to the room from the bedroom, and then the old room can be the toddler room for the twins 😊💜❤️🧡💛

I love how the one client refused to look at the work Jim Jam did for her and tanked his rep with a 1 star review, then "graciously" offered him the chance to "fix" her non-problem by coming back to work for her at reduced pay. That is such a Karen thing to do! Who knew there were Karens in The Sims?

I honestly loved how the apartment was decorated but all the changes came out so nice.

Does it make sense for the twins to have blonde hair? Hendrix looks like he is naturally a brunette based on his brows, but just a bleach blonde. I could be wrong but that was always the impression I got

JimJam could open his own “line” of home goods products: furniture, wall decor, pottery, etc.

Many interior decorators design and sell their own products once they get big. Maybe he has to become a celebrity or a higher reputation designer before he can start selling his own products
