Probably pissy because he didn’t get to make any of that fat marvel cash, and honestly as much as I was expecting dead pool and wolverine to be a flop, it was actually pretty good, a few smal details could have been better (with all the comic accurate shit why tf didn’t gambit have red eyes). But overall was a very good movie

Honestly the movie was the laziest X-Men film ever, and that's a lot to say, especially after the previous two Deadpool films. They're all three about absolutely nothing. Ian always kept stressing in interviews that unlike the wimps like Superman or Spider-Man, the X-Men, being mutants and thus born different, offered a lot of points about what it is to live in a society if you're a minority. Deadpool 2 touched on it a little bit with the creepy institution that the New Zealandan boy got sent to, but overall the Deadpool films are not about mutant discrimination. Most of the X-Men films that Ian was in were actually quite serious films with a serious message, that's what made them great. I hope he comes back if the MCU makes an X-Men '97-like movie that will delve into those serious issues again.
