He's the most misunderstood character in the game. People still think he's some sort of crap unit at C0 and some God at C6. He's the best enabler in the game, that does decent dps (very good in aoe/multiple targets), and if paired with XL becomes insane.

Anyone who are mad that Childe has another rererun, Look at the brightside. If you don't want to pull for him or you already have him, that's a great news, that means you can save more primogems for future banner. And for people who lost to the 50/50 on Childe before, it's their time to get him again. So it's a win-win.

He’s had awful timing for my account. First, I had no primos; then, he was before Zhongli, who I NEEDED as a Xiao main. And he’s finally in a more favorable spot to wish, or skip and save for the next patch, or spend on Hu Tao + Thoma. For me, this is an opportunity to finally get him, given that my only hydro unit is my boi Xingqiu (not counting Barbara) who’s been carrying me since day 2 of the game, but a support can only do so much! 😩

As someone who only started playing Genshin about a month ago I'm happy to see both Childe and Hu Tao re-runs I'll probably aim to get both if I can, but tbh the whole 3rd re-run banner just gives me hopium about a 3rd Zhongli re-run.

If you're not into quickswap and not willing to invest in units like Xiangling and Beidou, I don't recommend pulling for Childe. He's not a hypercarry, he's an enabler carry. I feel like I had to say this since many still don't know what role he actually plays.

By the way, if you still plan to pull for him but are a bit skeptical due to his cd, no, in reality, cd is not much of a problem. Childe mains rule is 'if there's pyronado, yes unga bunga, no pyronado, no unga bunga', (applicable if your Xiangling is c3 and below, if c4 and above, you manually count 9 seconds, or do 3NA 1CA x3 then exit melee mode)
when you try his comp, you'll realize most of the time the actual problem is refilling Xiangling and Beidou's ult, not Childe's cd, lol

To those asking if he's still worth it or not, yes, worth it. He's quite unique since he's an enabler, meaning he scales off his teammates. He's future-proof since the better supports released are, the better he would be. Example is when Kazuha was released. Before, the best VV carrier for Childe's team was Sucrose, now with the addition of Kazuha, Childe team just became stronger and more meta. Imagine how stronger Childe's team would be once a 7 star Bennett and 6 star Xiangling are introduced to the game.

I'm pulling for Childe because I still don't have him. 😅 Just started playing last March 2021 and didn't got any luck during his 1st rerun. So now is the time for me to get him because I'm at 54 pulls in and with guaranteed pity!

I don't care about the meta. I still can't 36⭐️ my Abyss so I'm stuck upgrading my most invested DPS chars and team comps.

After all, Genshin is just a game and we should play it the way we want and just have fun. 😊 Playing the chars that I really love is what gives me fun!

Imo he's worth it. He's the only who can be an efficient hydro enabler beside of Xingchiu and allows to release Xingchiu to use him in another team

I’d wager most people still only have Xingqiu and Barbara as their hydro units, having an extra hydro character that’s also a solid DPS can literally change your life in Spiral Abyss because it unlocks so many new team comps you can use for both teams.

Plus Childe is one the most uniquely designed characters in terms of mechanics and he just looks fun to play

The only reason he will never be taken off from my team is the fact that he’s a double weapon user, I suck at bow users but I know it’s needed sometimes so he’s perfect for me!

I don’t get the “childe doesn’t deal the same dmg as other dps”. I think nobody know what we are talking about here. In the time a Ganyu charges her attack my childe is autoattacking 4 time with normals and a charge attack or even more. Each attack is 10-11k dmg, aoe, procs riptide dmg, spreading riptide dmg and mark. And the same for XIao.
I think His burst melee dmg has like the highest multiplier in the game if you don’t consider zhongli or baal.
I think this whole story of “He doesn’t deal dmg” it s a legend that has been spread by somebody who was lying and now for some reason became the truth.
And we are not even considering all the subDPS that can shine thx to him.
If you are just NOT able to manage his CD properly, just don’t speak and don’t tell people “He DoeSNT DeAl DaMAGe”

I pray that I finally get him, when I joined genshin, his banner was already gone, in his 1 rerun, i did not have enough primos because I pull for Xiao, this time, kokomi came home early, this is it, I must win 50 50 and I must have the last member of the hydro gang, kokomrades, wish me luck :3.
