Thank you for the information! As a pitta with 1 year struggle of balancing health - I was so lost when I burnt out to the point of disrupting triple burner...so I had to find a delicate balance of not using too much cooling foods because it would result in phlegm with spleen deficiencies.

Bottom line, based on my suffering, I have found it is important to explain the nuances, that it is not black and white because pitta with cooling foods can actually be damaging if there are other imbalances that exist. Luckily a Chinese medicine doctor helped me understand this.

Also sunflower oil is really high in Omega 6, so I am surprised this was recommended.

Appreciate the overview, I am on a quest to learn as much as I can to optimize my life. I must take this into my own hands, no one will heal for me.

6. In general, the following Ayurvedic principles and herbal extracts from planet ayurveda can be applied to selecting and preparing foods for the three doshas.

Thank you for your wonderful video. I have chronic colon-inflammation . I recognized I am Pitta, but I wonder if Sweets and dairy are right with a colon inflammation. Do you have any advice on that? Thank you!

Moong daal
Coriander
Chamomile
Aloevera
No ginger, black pepper
Sweet food, bitter, astringent are good
Wheat, oats
Sunflower oil, olive oil, ghee
Sour food. No no. Pickles big NO
Fruits are very good for pitta people. Like Watermelon
Non salted Fish can be consumed if necessary.
Don't eat too much salty food. Make sure to have balance of all. But the trigger food should not overpower

Hi Dr. Halpern. Quick question for you. Was your Mother a healer? I used to know a lady named Halpern but now in my aging I forgot her first name. Linda
