Rudi’s Holy Trinity Collection

Rudi’s collection is centered around the Holy Trinity of luxury watches; Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet with a couple of other high horology watches. It represents only a small part of his collection.

Thanks for sharing Rudi. This collection starts off great, the first 2 groups are superb. After the 3rd or 4th RO, it becomes a bit tedious. I like the way he is heading though with his future choices. Great to see he is getting out of the RO slump.

What an amazing collection, scored it 9.5/10..The only negative thing I can say is that he may have slightly too many "holy trinity" watches rather than a mix of "high horology brands"..maybe he needs an FPJ, Lange, Lang and Heyne..Parmigiani, Breguet, Bovet, or Laurent Ferrier to balance things a little. I especially loved the JLC reverso..probably my favourite out of the lot...The AP's were also very nice. I think I prefer the rose gold version of the Vacheron 1921. I also prefer the older version of the Vacheron overseas dial (with the big date), although the movement in the new version is probably better.

Very nice collection of watches. The blue numerals on the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Americain are amazing. I also like dates at 4:30, when well executed like on that VC and Blancpain, it is surprisingly functional and clean.

Rudi... obviously a great collection...do you still get pleasure out of all of your watches....or do you now get pleasure out of building a great collection....what in saying is do you still enjoy them individually or more the enjoyment comes from them as a group....
Just trying to get a handle on how the collector's mind works...and does being able to afford whatever you want detract from the enjoyment you would feel if you saved for one your opinion ?

No doubt, this is a great collection of very expensive watches. Call me a simpleton though, but out of this set I would pick one of the Calatravas and one of the uncomplicated Royal Oaks.
