I don't buy butter anymore! I make it myself with 1 ingredient!

This is a very simple recipe. You only need one ingredient:

1 liter of whipping cream (30-35% fat)

Beat the cream with a mixer until the butter separates from the buttermilk.

It takes quite some time

To make it easier, you could use a stand mixer

The cream will start to get clumpy, and the buttermilk slowly comes out

This is the texture you need

Put the butter in a sieve and strain the buttermilk

Lightly press

Then, take a bowl and fill it up with ice cold water

Place your strainer over the cold water and
press all the buttermilk out

It will start to become smooth and hard

Take it into your hands and squeeze out any excess liquid

Now, put the butter in a dish lined with cling film

Press down and smooth out the bottom

Let it cool in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

Alternatively, you can also add salt, which increases the shelf life

You can also put herbs, spices, or flowers

Homemade butter is done!

It tastes best with some fresh bread

It is so delicious and very easy to make
