If anyone was wondering why 64 bit versions of the OS's are not showing up in the setup (before you start the vm; so when you configure it), it could be because virtualization is not turned on in the bios on your physical, actual computer. (please like, so more people know about this)

This is a very solid guide. I was messing with a VM for the first time and needed this for security testing on my machine. If anyone fails to follow this it is likely due to A. they are not advanced enough to understand this intermediate level computer work and should go buy a A+ book and read it first or B. They are impatient and ignorant and chose not to listen carefully and follow the guide.

I personally had 2 yrs computer programming class and everything i know about hardware and security is self taught through books, experiments, and tutorials. I am getting to this intermediate stage and i followed this guide easily with no issue the first time.

Not recognizing or seeing the ISO on the CD happened to me as well but for some reason it seemed to take a while before it showed up on the window to choose it from the CD Rom Drive. Once it was there, it installed just fine. This video works and is a great tutorial on getting started with virtual box. Thanks !!!

For those having trouble with *"No bootable medium found!. System Halted"*

After setting up the VM, you need an operating system .iso to install an OS, just like on a real computer or use a disk.

Just watched your video, very useful. Love your little rant on "50 - No bootable medium found". Please don't take this the wrong way, but you cannot say everyone knows how to load a windows operating system when most of get computers with the operating pre-installed. You are not alone in tutors who overestimate the abilities of their students.
